Hydrated calcium silicate foamed insulation products, referred to as "foamed calcium silicate", are made of silicate cementitious materials, mineral admixtures and foaming agents as the main raw materials through chemical foaming, autoclave curing, drying and other processes. They are foamed insulation products with calcium silicate hydrate as the main crystal phase and multi-level pore structure characteristics.
Foamed calcium silicate is a new type of hard inorganic thermal insulation material with the characteristics of thermal insulation, firmness, environmental protection, waterproofness and durability. It has excellent performance indicators and can withstand harsh high temperature, high humidity, dry-wet cycle use environment for a long time without performance degradation. Foamed calcium silicate is the hard inorganic thermal insulation material with the lowest material density on the market.
This product was jointly developed by the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Thermal Engineering and Power Systems, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Yixin Innovation Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Wanli Pipeline Co., Ltd. The China Thermal Insulation and Energy Saving Materials Association has approved the group standard "Calcium Silicate Hydrate Foam Insulation Products", which will be officially implemented on June 1, 2024, with the standard number T/CIEEMA 010-2024.
Foamed calcium silicate thermal insulation material successfully integrates multiple superior properties such as "high cost performance, high efficiency thermal insulation, high strength, high temperature resistance, low density, strong water resistance". It is widely used in thermal pipes, building energy conservation and other industrial and building thermal insulation fields, effectively promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, while significantly reducing investment, operation and maintenance costs, achieving a win-win situation of economic and social benefits.
At present, expanded calcium silicate has become one of the few high-quality hard insulation materials suitable for high-temperature steam heating network pipes on the market. Its excellent performance and wide application fields are gradually changing the market structure of traditional thermal insulation materials. Expanded calcium silicate not only performs well in the field of high-temperature steam heating network pipes, but also shows strong application potential and value in many other fields.
